FORT MACON CIVIL WAR ROUNDTABLE

The Fort Macon Civil War Roundtable is a non-profit organization located in Morehead City, North Carolina. Founded in 1987, the group is dedicated to educating the public on the history of the American Civil War and the people and events that shaped it. The Roundtable meets the second Wednesday of each month (except July and August) at 7:00 PM at the Fort Macon State Park Visitor Center.

The Roundtable is comprised of a diverse membership of men and women who share an interest in the Civil War. Speakers are invited to present lectures and programs on topics related to the war. Discussion topics range from military strategy and tactics to biographies of Civil War generals and soldiers, to many other aspects of the war. The organization also hosts field trips and visits to Civil War sites in the area.

The Roundtable is always looking for new members and encourages the public to attend its meetings and participate in the discussion. Annual membership dues are only $20 and members receive newsletters, discounts on field trips, and are eligible for special programs and prizes.
