Ridgeway Historical Society Inc. is a non-profit organization devoted to preserving the history of Ridgeway, North Carolina. The Society was founded in 1992 and is currently governed by a Board of Directors composed of local citizens who are dedicated to preserving the historic resources of the area.

The Society’s mission is to collect, preserve, and share the history and culture of Ridgeway and the surrounding area. To this end, the Society collects historical artifacts, documents, photographs, and other items related to the history of the area. The Society also sponsors a variety of educational programs and provides assistance to local schools and other organizations in researching the history of the area.

The Society’s main headquarters is located in the historic Ridgeway Town Hall, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Town Hall also houses a museum, which features exhibits on the local history of Ridgeway and the surrounding area. The museum is open to the public and provides a variety of educational programs throughout the year.

The Society also maintains a library of local history materials, which is available for research. In addition, the Society holds monthly meetings and special events throughout the year, such as lectures, symposiums, and workshops. The Society also publishes a quarterly newsletter, which includes information about upcoming events, research projects, and other activities.

The Society is supported by membership fees and donations from local individuals, businesses, and organizations. All donations are tax deductible. The Society encourages people to become members and to participate in its activities in order to help preserve the area’s rich history.
