The only surviving (though heavily restored) Roman rectangular shield (scutum), discovered in a tower at Dura that had probably been undermined by Sassanid besiegers in 256 CE. It would once have borne a bronze boss (umbo) covering the central handgrip.

The National September 11 Memorial and Museum in Hagerstown, NY is a solemn tribute to the victims and heroes of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. The museum is located at the site of the former World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan and covers an area of 110,000 square feet.
