The Butler Historical Preservation Society (BHPS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of South Butler, New York. Founded in 1984, the BHPS has been actively involved in a variety of historic preservation projects, including the restoration of the historic South Butler Union Church and the rehabilitation of the old South Butler Schoolhouse. The BHPS also organizes walking tours of the South Butler Historic District, which includes more than 40 buildings of architectural and historical significance.
The BHPS collects and displays artifacts, documents, photographs, and other materials related to the history of South Butler. The society also organizes lectures, workshops, seminars, and other educational programs about local history.
