Friends of the Railroad (FOTR) is an organization dedicated to the preservation, restoration, and promotion of railroads in Victor, New York. Founded in 2001, FOTR is a volunteer-based organization that seeks to promote the continued use and enjoyment of railroads in the area. FOTR works to preserve the history and culture of railroads in Victor and the surrounding area, and to promote the importance of these historic railroads.

FOTR is actively involved in the preservation and restoration of various historic railroad sites in Victor, such as the New York Central Railroad Depot and the New York, Ontario, & Western Railroad Bridge. FOTR also organizes several events throughout the year to promote the history of railroads in Victor. These include the annual Railfest, held in the summer, which features food, music, and activities related to the railroad industry; and the Rail-A-Palooza, a model train show held in the fall.

In addition to these events, FOTR also works with local organizations and businesses to promote the use of railroading as a form of transportation and recreation. FOTR helps to maintain the local railroads for use by residents and visitors, and works to ensure that the railroads are safe and accessible for all users.

FOTR is committed to the preservation and promotion of the railroads in Victor and the surrounding area, and their efforts have helped to make railroading in the region more enjoyable for everyone.

One of the oldest public spaces in the city, this 35,000-square-foot, Frederick Law Olmsted-designed green space is found at the intersection of Edinburgh, Glasgow, Greig, and Frederick Douglass Streets in the heart of the historic Corn Hill neighborhood.
