The Nanticoke Valley Historical Society (NVHS) is an educational and research institution located in Maine, NY. It is dedicated to preserving, interpreting and promoting the history of the Nanticoke Valley region of the Finger Lakes.

The NVHS was founded in 1970 with the mission of preserving and interpreting the history of the area. The Society operates a museum and educational center, which is located in a restored 19th century granite farmhouse. The museum features interactive exhibits, artifacts, photographs, and a library of local history books. The society also operates a research center and an archive, which are open to members, researchers, and students.

The NVHS offers educational programs, lectures, and workshops throughout the year. The Society also hosts a variety of special events and activities, such as their annual Summerfest, a celebration of the region's history and culture.

The NVHS is funded through grants, donations, memberships, and other sources. The Society is a member of the New York State Historical Association and is affiliated with the National Trust for Historic Preservation. It is also part of the Finger Lakes Regional History Center, a non-profit organization that works to promote and preserve the history of the Finger Lakes region.
