The Women Divers Hall of Fame (WDHOF) is a non-profit organization located in Port Washington, New York. It was established in 2000 to recognize and honor the many outstanding women divers in the fields of science, technology, exploration, education, and conservation. The organization’s mission is “to recognize the achievements of women divers who have made significant contributions to their field, and to encourage and promote the spirit of exploration and discovery through diving.”
The Women Divers Hall of Fame was founded by Dr. Grace and Dr. Julie Packard, two marine scientists and avid divers with a passion for sharing the underwater world. The organization inducts members on an annual basis, with each year’s honorees being nominated by the general public and selected by a committee of their peers. The Hall of Fame recognizes a variety of women divers from all fields, including underwater photographers, marine biologists, cave divers, and oceanographers.
