September 17, 2021: "The Eagle", Roscoe Conkling Park, Utica, New York Standing on a high ridge with a commanding view over the downtown skyline, <i>The Eagle</i> - a six-foot bronze statue sculpted in 1923 by noted artist Charles Keck - is one of the most well-known landmarks at Roscoe Conkling Park in Utica, New York.

The Oneida Community Mansion House, located in Oneida, New York, is a stunning example of 19th-century architecture. The Mansion House was originally built in 1848 and was the center of the utopian communal society, the Oneida Perfectionists. The Mansion House is a sprawling three-story stone structure with a grand main entrance, a large cupola on the roof, and a wrap-around porch. The building is surrounded by a beautiful, well-maintained garden and lawn, which is a popular spot for picnics and outdoor activities.

Inside the Mansion House, visitors will find several large rooms that were once used for community meetings. The Mansion House is also home to a library, a chapel, a dining hall, and several smaller rooms that were used for various activities, such as sewing and music lessons. The Mansion House is currently a museum and visitors are encouraged to explore the building and its grounds.

The Oneida Community Mansion House is an important part of the history of Oneida, New York and is a great place to visit.
