The Western New York Railway Historical Society is a non-profit organization located in Williamsville, New York. It was founded in 1994 to promote and preserve the history of the railways in Western New York. The Society is dedicated to the preservation, restoration and operation of historic railway equipment, and to educate the public about the importance of railroads to the region's economy and culture.
The Society has a museum in Williamsville, which houses a collection of historic railway artifacts, including a steam locomotive, cars, and other memorabilia. The Society also operates an excursion train, offering rides in restored historic railway cars on a stretch of track near Attica, New York.
