Clarence Travel Plaza (Applegreen), Interstate 90 New York Thruway, Clarence, NY Built in 2022-2023, this Contemporary building was designed by Upland Architects as one of many newly redeveloped travel plazas along the New York State Thruway, which carries Interstate 90 through the state of New York.  The plazas are operated by vendor Applegreen, and feature a large gabled central atrium with glass wall and clerestory windows, with a vaulted interior ceiling over a central seating area, flanked by various food vendors and a convenience store, and is clad in metal and precast concrete panels.  The buildings are part of an effort to improve the experience of travelers on the New York Thruway, a toll road, and modernize the aging visitor facilities.

The Hamburg Historical Society is a non-profit organization in Hamburg, New York, dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich history of the town.
