The Guilford Historical Society (GHS) was founded in 1892 to preserve and promote the history of the town of Guilford, New York. The organization is committed to preserving the unique local history and culture of Guilford and its surrounding areas.

The GHS maintains a museum in the historic Guilford Town Hall building, which houses a collection of artifacts, photographs, documents, and memorabilia related to the town's past. The Society also organizes frequent events and lectures to educate and engage the general public.

The GHS is also dedicated to preserving the architectural and archaeological sites of the town. The Society has a field survey team that conducts research throughout the area and works to protect important sites.

In addition to its preservation and educational efforts, the GHS also holds regular meetings and publishes a quarterly newsletter. These meetings and newsletters serve to keep members connected and informed about the progress of the organization.
