BULLTHISTLE MODEL RAILROAD

The Bullthistle Model Railroad is a model railway museum located in Norwich, New York. It was established in 1978 by a group of model train enthusiasts and has since grown into one of the largest and most impressive model railway systems in North America.

The museum is home to over 15,000 feet of track in 3 different scales, with over 100 locomotives, 350 cars, and 500 structures. The museum also features a large collection of vintage and modern model trains, including Lionel, American Flyer, Atlas, Williams, and Bachman.

The museum also features a 50-foot-long display area with a variety of buildings, bridges, and other structures, as well as a working turntable and a full-size railroad caboose. Visitors can also take a ride on the Bullthistle Express, a diesel locomotive that travels around the museum grounds.

The Bullthistle Model Railroad is open to the public and offers a variety of special events throughout the year, including special train rides and model railroad workshops. It is a great place to visit for anyone who is interested in model trains and railroads.

Before Daniel Weaver, a member of the Amish community in Butternut Valley, opened the 4000-square-foot grocery store, the area was seen as a food desert despite its local food production.
