The Scottish Heritage Society of the Rochester Area Inc., is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and celebrating the Scottish heritage of Rochester, NY and the surrounding area. Established in 1981, the Society's mission is to promote, celebrate, and preserve the culture, customs and traditions of Scotland, both past and present.

The Society hosts a number of annual events, including Highland Games, Tartan Day, and a ceilidh. The Highland Games includes traditional Scottish events such as bagpiping, Highland dancing, track & field and heavy athletics. Tartan Day is a celebration of Scottish heritage and culture, and includes a parade and various other activities. The ceilidh is an evening of traditional Scottish music and dance.

The Society also offers educational programs, workshops, and lectures, as well as a library of Scottish books, music and videos. The library is open to members, and includes a wide variety of materials related to Scotland and its culture.

The Society is open to anyone interested in Scotland and its heritage, and membership is available for a small annual fee. Members receive discounts on events and access to the library. The Society also provides an online newsletter and social media presence, and holds regular meetings throughout the year.

September 14, 2019: Former Corn Hill Methodist Episcopal Church as seen from Lunsford Circle, Rochester, New York The former Corn Hill Methodist Episcopal Church and present-day End Time Deliverance Miracle Ministry is a longstanding landmark of the Corn Hill district of Rochester, New York whose rich history lies at the intersection of the two rather paradoxical halves of the neighborhood's identity - the favorite abode of Rochester's moneyed class, yet also the historic nucleus of the local African-American community - and serves as a testimony to locals' commitment to historic preservation, having been rebuilt after a devastating 1971 arson fire.
