The Monroe Community College (MCC) Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Rochester, NY that is dedicated to supporting the educational mission of MCC. Established in 1978, the Foundation has been a driving force in advocating for the continued success of MCC and its students by providing financial support for student scholarships and programs.
The Foundation and its Board of Directors are committed to providing quality education to all MCC students. Through fundraising and donor support, the Foundation raises funds for student scholarships, program enhancement, and technology initiatives. Additionally, the Foundation works to promote the college's mission and objectives to the community and beyond.
Over the years, the Foundation has increased its fundraising efforts to provide more support for MCC students. Through its annual golf outing, grants from foundations, corporations, and individuals, and other fundraising initiatives, the Foundation has raised more than $10 million in support of MCC.
The Foundation also provides academic, financial, and career advice to MCC students. Through its Advising and Mentoring Services, the Foundation provides individual and group counseling, resume writing workshops, career exploration, and job search help.
The Foundation's commitment to MCC and its students is evident in its mission to promote excellence, recognize achievement, and support the educational needs of MCC students. With its ongoing support, the Foundation strives to help all MCC students reach their full potential.
