The Point Chautauqua Historical Preservation Society (PCHPS) is a non-profit organization located in Dewittville, New York, dedicated to preserving and promoting the historical heritage of the Chautauqua region. Founded in 1969, the Society preserves and maintains a museum, library, and archives of local historical artifacts, documents, photographs and books.

The museum is located in the historic Point Chautauqua Pavilion, which was built in 1887 and is one of the oldest structures in Chautauqua County. The museum houses artifacts from the Chautauqua region, including artifacts from the Chautauqua Institution and the Chautauqua Lake region. The library and archives contain a variety of documents and photographs, including local newspapers, books, photographs and maps.

The Society is also involved in the preservation of a variety of Chautauqua-related sites, including the Chautauqua Institution, Chautauqua Lake, and nearby Jamestown. They also provide educational programs and tours to the public, and host a variety of events and activities, such as lectures, summer camps and festivals.

The Society is dedicated to preserving the rich heritage of the Chautauqua region, and its mission is to “promote and preserve the history of the Chautauqua region and its people, and to educate and inspire the public.” In addition to its museum, library and archives, the Society also offers a variety of other services, including research, genealogical assistance and lectures.
