The Tuolumne County Fire Department Muster Association is an all-volunteer organization based in Sonora, California. The organization was founded in 1978 with the mission of bringing together firefighters from different departments in the county to share experiences, knowledge, and camaraderie.
The Muster Association hosts and organizes various competitions throughout the year, including an annual Firefighter Muster, where firefighters from the county compete against each other in a variety of skills, including hose advancement, vehicle extrication, and search and rescue. The Association also hosts an annual Firefighter's Ball, a benefit dinner and dance to raise funds for the organization.
In addition to competitions and events, the Muster Association works to provide training opportunities to its members, including classes in firefighting, hazardous materials, and first aid. The Association also organizes activities to honor and remember firefighters who have died in the line of duty, and to recognize those firefighters who have served the community with distinction.
The Muster Association is open to all firefighters in the county, regardless of department. Its members come from all parts of the county, and it is a testament to the dedication and commitment of the firefighters who dedicate their time and energy to keeping their communities safe.
