Bellport Brookhaven Historical is a museum located in the quaint village of Bellport, New York. The museum, established in 1976, is dedicated to preserving the rich history of the Brookhaven area, which includes Bellport, Brookhaven, East Patchogue, and Yaphank.
The museum consists of two buildings, the circa 1820's Hawkins-Mount House and the circa 1843 Post-Crowell House, which are both listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Visitors can take guided tours of both houses and see how people lived in the 19th century. The Hawkins-Mount House features exhibits on local farming, industry, and commerce, while the Post-Crowell House showcases Victorian-era furnishings and decor.
