Clermont State Historic Site is a beautiful and historic property located in Germantown, New York. The site is situated on the east bank of the Hudson River and encompasses over 500 acres of land. The centerpiece of the property is the historic Clermont Mansion, which was built in the mid-18th century by Robert Livingston, one of the founding fathers of the United States.

In later years, because of their load-carrying ability, Pitcairns became popular as dusters. Recently rebuilt, this plane was flown from Vancouver, Washington to the aerodrome in 33 hours.
