Montgomery Place is a historic estate located in the town of Red Hook, New York. Originally built in 1804 by Janet Livingston Montgomery, it was later expanded and renovated by her son General Richard Montgomery. The estate sits on 380 acres of land and features a mansion, gardens, and a farm.

The Montgomery Place mansion is a Federal-style building with a symmetrical façade and grand entrance. The interior includes original woodwork, plasterwork, and a collection of period furnishings. Visitors can take guided tours of the mansion to learn about the history of the Montgomery family and their contributions to the American Revolution.

The gardens at Montgomery Place are a highlight of the estate, with over 60 acres of formal and informal gardens, woodlands, and meadows. The gardens include a walled garden, a rose garden, a Chinese garden, and a water garden with a reflecting pool. Visitors can take self-guided tours of the gardens and enjoy the seasonal displays of flowers and plants.

In addition to the mansion and gardens, Montgomery Place also has a working farm that produces organic vegetables, fruits, and eggs. The farm hosts educational programs and events throughout the year, including a farmer's market, workshops, and farm-to-table dinners.

Montgomery Place is open to the public from May through October and offers visitors a glimpse into the history and beauty of the Hudson Valley.

1912 Taube model F replica The bird-winged Taube was controlled by wing warping rather than by hinged control surfaces. This replica was built by Mike Fithian and just donated to the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome the month before. It is believed to be the only flying example in the world. Designed to carry the night airmail, it had excellent maneuverability, range, speed (130 MPH) and was considered a fvery modern equivalent of the the Pony Express in 1929.
In later years, because of their load-carrying ability, Pitcairns became popular as dusters.
Recently rebuilt, this plane was flown from Vancouver, Washington to the aerodrome in 33 hours.

In a Voisin airplane, Henri Farman accomplished the first circular and kilometer flights in Europe. After these publicized flights, Norvin Rinek of Easton, Pennsylvania contracted the Voisins to have this aircraft built in which to test his aircraft engines. This machine hung from the rafters of his factory for over sixty years.
