LITTLE FALLS HISTORICAL SOCIETY

The Little Falls Historical Society is a nonprofit organization located in Little Falls, New Jersey. Established in 1970, the society is dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of Little Falls and the surrounding areas.

The society operates out of a historical building known as the Stevens House, which was built in 1768 and was once the home of Colonel John Stevens III, a prominent figure in the American Revolution. The house is now a museum that features exhibits on local history, including displays on the Lenape Native Americans who once inhabited the area, the local industries of the past, and the town's role in the Revolutionary War.

In addition to maintaining the Stevens House Museum, the Little Falls Historical Society also hosts events and educational programs throughout the year, such as lectures, walking tours, and special exhibits. The society also manages an extensive collection of artifacts, documents, and photographs related to the town's history.

Membership in the Little Falls Historical Society is open to anyone with an interest in local history, and donations are always welcome to help support the society's preservation efforts.
