The California State Mining and Mineral Museum is a state park located in Mariposa, California. It was established in 1999 and showcases the history of mining and minerals in California. The museum is housed in a building that was originally constructed as a county hospital in 1927.

The museum features displays of mineral specimens, mining equipment, and artifacts from the gold rush era. Visitors can see a 13-pound gold nugget found in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, a replica of a mine tunnel, and exhibits on the geology of California. The museum also has a gift shop that sells rocks, minerals, and mining-related items.

In addition to the indoor exhibits, the museum offers outdoor activities such as gold panning, gemstone mining, and guided tours of the nearby Mariposa Mine. There is also a picnic area and hiking trails on the museum grounds.

Only the males have the blue, purple or aqua wings.
