The collection includes bicycles from the late 1800s to the mid-20th century, with a focus on early American-made bikes.

Visitors to the Metz Bicycle Museum can expect to see a range of bicycles, from high-wheelers (also known as penny-farthings) to early safety bikes, cruisers, and racing bikes. The collection includes rare and unique bicycles such as a 1910 Pierce Arrow, a 1936 Schwinn Autocycle, and a 1941 Columbia Superb. Many of the bikes are in excellent condition, with original paint and parts.

The museum is housed in a small storefront in downtown Freehold and is open to the public on weekends and by appointment during the week. Admission is free, though donations are accepted.
