The Universalist Heritage Foundation (UHF) is a non-profit organization in Nashua NH dedicated to preserving the history and heritage of Universalism, a historic and influential religious movement in American history. Founded in 1977, UHF has since been gathering and cataloging Universalist books, manuscripts, photographs, and other artifacts. UHF is committed to increasing public awareness of Universalism and to preserving its legacy and tradition through its library, archives, and educational programs.
UHF's library, the largest of its kind in the world, contains more than 10,000 books and over 1,000 manuscripts. It specializes in Universalist books and periodicals and also includes a selection of related materials such as Quakerism, Unitarianism and Unitarian Universalism, and other related subjects. UHF also has an extensive archive of photographs, slides, and postcards that document Universalist life and history.
In addition to its library and archives, UHF also hosts educational and cultural events such as lectures, workshops, and seminars. It also organizes field trips to Universalist sites to promote understanding and appreciation of Universalism's legacy. UHF is also involved in fundraising and advocacy efforts to ensure the preservation of Universalist artifacts and sites.
