The Center Harbor Historical Society is a non-profit organization located in Center Harbor, New Hampshire, dedicated to preserving and sharing the town's rich history. Founded in 1968, the society operates out of the 1828 Schoolhouse Museum, a former one-room schoolhouse that was restored and opened to the public in 1971.
The museum features a collection of artifacts and exhibits that showcase life in Center Harbor from the 18th century to the present day. Visitors can view displays on local industries, such as logging and farming, as well as exhibits on the town's famous residents, including Admiral George Dewey and actor Claude Rains.
