The Comstock Cemetery Foundation Inc. is a nonprofit organization located in Virginia City, Nevada. The foundation was established in 1984 to preserve and restore the historic Comstock Cemetery, located in the heart of the Virginia City Historic District. The cemetery is the final resting place for many of the miners, pioneers, and early settlers of the Comstock Lode, a major silver deposit discovered in the area in 1859. The cemetery is the largest and oldest in the area, with over 400 graves dating back to the mid-1800s.
