ARCHAEO-NEVADA SOCIETY

The Archeo-Nevada Society (ANS) is a non-profit organization that was founded in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1981. The organization is dedicated to the study, preservation and interpretation of the archaeological, historical and cultural resources of the Las Vegas Valley and the surrounding areas. The organization also works to promote an understanding and appreciation of the importance of these resources to the community and the state of Nevada.

ANS activities include archaeological surveys, excavations, and laboratory analyses, as well as public outreach, education and advocacy programs to preserve and protect archaeological sites and artifacts. The organization also sponsors several annual events, including the Las Vegas Archaeology Fair and the Las Vegas Archaeology Symposium.

ANS also provides educational programs for adults and children, including lectures, classes, and field trips. Their website offers resources for educators, researchers, and the public. ANS members are active in many local and regional organizations, such as the Association for Nevada Archaeology and the Nevada Archaeological Association.
