OLD LOGANDALE SCHOOL HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL SOCIETY

LOGANDALE, NV

A Road in the Wilderness This shot was taken on Mouse’s Tank Road in Valley of Fire State Park, just as the sun was starting to set over Nevada. The road, winding through the bright red sandstone cliffs, feels endless, with the mountains looming in the distance. I set up a tripod after climbing up a rock formation and used a remote shutter to capture myself walking down the middle of the road, soaking in the quiet and isolation of the moment. The soft evening light really brings out the warm tones of the rocks and gives the whole scene a peaceful, almost surreal vibe. It was one of those moments where everything just felt still.
