The Keya Paha Historical Society (KPHS) is a non-profit organization located in Springview, Nebraska that is dedicated to preserving and presenting the history of the Keya Paha County area. Established in 2009, KPHS is dedicated to the collection, preservation, and interpretation of the history of the area, which encompasses the entirety of Keya Paha County.

KPHS’s mission is to “foster an understanding of the history of Keya Paha County, Nebraska, for the benefit of the public.” To this end, KPHS works to preserve historic documents, artifacts, and photographs, as well as to educate the public about the history of the area through events, lectures, exhibits, and other activities.

KPHS is governed by a board of directors composed of local individuals dedicated to the preservation of the area’s history. The board meets regularly to discuss topics such as acquisitions, exhibits, and public programs. The board also works with the Nebraska State Historical Society to ensure that the organization meets all of the necessary requirements to be a recognized historical society.

KPHS offers a wide range of activities and programs to engage the public in the history of the area. These activities include guided tours, lectures, exhibits, educational programs, and special events. In addition, KPHS also offers a variety of publications that document the history of the area and provide additional information on KPHS activities.

KPHS is supported by memberships and donations, as well as by the generous support of local businesses and organizations. By engaging the public in the history of Keya Paha County, the Keya Paha Historical Society is helping to ensure that the area’s past is preserved for future generations.
