Grateful Dead Bear Whilst we were visiting Fort Scott National Park, in BOURBON County, Kansas, Little Texas Aggie Trumpet Case Bear demonstrated one of his “special” skills. Well, skills other than being able to maintain a trumpet.

Aggie Bear spent 15 years touring with the Grateful Dead as their “Tour Bear”. But, before that, he had a job as a circus bear. He told me that he was the Number #1 performing bear in the three ring circus. The clowns would stuff Little Texas Aggie Bear into a cannon and shoot him up into a net.

“The kids love me!” exclaimed Little Aggie Bear.
