The Colleen Belk Memorial John C. Cox Pioneer Cemetery Project in Joplin, Missouri is dedicated to preserving and honoring the early pioneers of Jasper County, Missouri. The cemetery was established in 1848 by the families of John C. Cox and Colleen Belk. It is the final resting place for more than 500 pioneers who settled in Joplin and the surrounding area.
The cemetery has a rich and interesting history. In 1972, the cemetery was listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The cemetery is located in a park-like setting, with a large cross at the entrance to honor the pioneers who are buried there.
