Deutschheim State Historic Site is a beautifully preserved German-American settlement in Hermann, Missouri. The site consists of two adjacent buildings, the Pommer-Gentner House and the Carl Strehly House, which were constructed in the mid-19th century and have been restored to their original appearance. Visitors can take guided tours of both houses to learn about the lives of the German immigrants who settled in Hermann in the mid-1800s.

The Pommer-Gentner House was built in 1840 by German immigrant Johann Pommer, and later purchased by the Gentner family. The house is furnished with original pieces and features exhibits on the daily life and customs of German immigrants in the 1800s. The Carl Strehly House was built in 1867 and is a fine example of a German-American farmhouse. Visitors can see the kitchen, parlor, and bedrooms, and learn about the Strehly family's experiences as immigrants in Missouri.

In addition to the guided tours, the site offers a variety of special events throughout the year, including a German Christmas market, Oktoberfest celebration, and summer music series. The Deutschheim State Historic Site is a charming and informative destination for anyone interested in the history of German immigration to the United States.
