The Friesen Historical Society, located in Clara City, Minnesota, is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the area's cultural history, and making it available to the public. The Society was founded in 1978 by a group of local citizens with a shared interest in preserving and interpreting the area's history. The Society is housed in an old two-story brick schoolhouse, built in 1893, and is home to a variety of artifacts, photographs, and documents related to the area's history, including items from the original homesteaders, Civil War veterans, and early settlers.

The Society runs a variety of educational programs, such as lectures, school visits, and field trips, that are designed to help the public learn more about the area's history. The Society also hosts a variety of special events, including art shows, plays, and concerts, throughout the year.

The Society also maintains an extensive library of books, magazines, and documents related to the area's history, as well as a variety of displays and exhibits. The Society also offers tours of the local area, where visitors can get a firsthand look at the area's historical sites.
