The Scott County Historical Society (SCHS) is a non-profit organization located in Shakopee, Minnesota. Founded in 1954, it is dedicated to preserving and interpreting the history of Scott County. SCHS is housed in the historic 1853 County Courthouse, and is open to the public for tours and educational programming.

SCHS has a vast collection of local artifacts, photographs, documents, and other materials from the 19th and 20th centuries. Visitors can view these items in the county’s two museums, including the 1853 Courthouse and the 1867 Watson-Hoyt House.
