The Spring Valley Historical Society is a nonprofit organization located in Spring Valley, Minnesota. Founded in 1965, the Historical Society works to preserve the history and culture of the region by collecting and preserving artifacts, records, photographs and other items related to the area's history. The Society operates a museum on the grounds of the former Spring Valley High School, which is open to the public. The museum displays photos, artifacts, documents, and other items of historical significance.

The mission of the Historical Society is to preserve and promote the history of Spring Valley and its surrounding community. The Society sponsors events throughout the year such as the Spring Valley Historical Festival and the Spring Valley Heritage Days. The Society also offers educational programs for children and adults about local history and culture. Additionally, the Society provides genealogical and historical research services, as well as a genealogical library.

The Spring Valley Historical Society is a member of the Minnesota Historical Society and is funded in part by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. The Society is governed by a board of directors and is run by a volunteer staff. The organization is dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of the Spring Valley area and its people.
