Railroad Crossing At the Erie Mine, near Hoyt Lakes, Minnesota, on August 5, 2006. Joan and I were there on tour with other members of the Missabe Railroad Historical Society. ========== This is the best photo of a bad set. I scanned one film roll--38 slides--this afternoon, and definitely wasn't happy with the results. I'd taken a bunch of photographs with two cameras during the day's tour, and seem to have reserved all the bad pix for this roll. I'd purchased a second-hand Minolta SR-T 101 around the start of the year, and had used it occasionally over the intervening months. But I clearly wasn't comfortable with it as the MRHS convention started; on both the 4th and 5th I took a lot of out-of-focus, poorly framed, and poorly exposed photographs. But after filling this roll I switched to B&W film and <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/jowo/408793915/">took pix I liked</a>. Apparently I'd figured things out by that point. I was also shooting photos all day with my Fujifilm F10. <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/jowo/331294181/">Those came out well</a>. ========== <i>Don't hold me to the claim, but I believe this is the last unscanned roll of my own slides. Looks like I--accidentally--saved the worst for last. That doesn't mean I'm done scanning, though, as I've many of Dad's slides to scan, still, and even more of my own negatives. 'Twill certainly keep me busy for a time.</i>
