Gammelgarden Museum in Scandia, Minnesota is a unique museum located amongst the rolling hills of Scandia. The museum is inside an original Swedish log house built in 1856. The house is the oldest log house in Washington County and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The house is furnished with original and replicated period furniture, as well as primitive tools and utensils. The museum also features exhibits on the history of Scandinavian immigration in Minnesota, rural life, and the log house building tradition.
