The Ortonville Community Historical Society (OCHS) is a non-profit organization founded in 1981 dedicated to preserving the history of Ortonville, Michigan. The Society is located in the old Ortonville Depot and a small museum, located in the former Ortonville Post Office.

The OCHS is dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of the community and its people. The Society collects, preserves, and displays artifacts and records relating to the history of Ortonville and its people. The museum has a variety of artifacts, including photographs, books, newspapers, documents, and other items related to the history of Ortonville.

In addition to the museum, the OCHS organizes tours of Ortonville and its historical sites, hosts educational programs, and works to preserve local historical sites and buildings. The OCHS also works with local schools and the public library to promote educational programs and activities.

The OCHS is a volunteer organization and is supported by memberships, donations, and grants. The OCHS holds an annual spring fundraiser, which helps to support the organization’s activities.
