S S Milwaukee Clipper Preservation Inc is a non-profit organization located in Muskegon, Michigan. Its mission is to preserve and restore the S S Milwaukee Clipper, a historic passenger ship that played a significant role in the transportation industry in the Great Lakes region.

Summer fun gives way to fall reflections before snow comes Imagining a timelapse for this popular beach in the Ottawa County Parks system, the crowds of summer would thin out with the start of the school year as daily visitors shifted to weekends and then in colder weather and wet days and nights only the birdwatchers, poets, and dogwalkers pay a visit. After the leaves come off the forest to the right of the shoreline and frost gives was to snow, the snow fences put in by park workers perform their task of holding the dune structure and snow while strong winds rage. A few months after the winter solstice, as days lengthen and temperatures rise and fall to give maple syrup collectors plenty of sap to boil, more visitors begin appearing to enjoy the springtime promise of warmer days and colorful blooms emerging from the ground again. After so many weeks of indoor living, more and more people are eager to spend time outdoors and before long the snow fences are removed. After the danger of freezing pipes has passed, the drinking fountains are turned on and the bathrooms are unlocked and ready for use. After the cold season, even mild weather makes visitors feel ready to shed coats. A few may even wear shorts on cool but sunny days. And then summer arrives, maybe three weeks earlier than a generation ago, as climate change shrinks the snow season and extends the warm season.
