The Sanford Historical Museum is located in Sanford, Michigan, in the heart of Midland County. Founded in 1975, the museum is dedicated to preserving the history and culture of the area, with a focus on the Sanford area. The museum houses a variety of artifacts, documents, photographs, and other items related to the history of Sanford and the surrounding area.

The museum is housed in the former Sanford High School building and has two floors of exhibits. On the first floor, visitors can explore a replica of a 19th-century schoolroom, an old-fashioned kitchen, and a recreated Victorian parlor. The second floor contains a variety of exhibits about the area’s past, including a collection of photographs and postcards, and artifacts from old businesses in Sanford.

The museum also hosts special events such as lectures, programs, and fundraisers. In addition, the museum has a library with a collection of books and documents related to Sanford’s history.

The Sanford Historical Museum is open to the public and admission is free. The museum is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. Visitors can also call ahead to schedule a tour.
