St. Joseph Catholic Church Last week Tuesday we headed up the Old Mission peninsula to visit the lighthouse. We mostly headed north on the east edge of the peninsula and returned on the western side. We drove by the old mission site and took a few pix at the lighthouse park. Along the way we found this gorgeous church. That set us on a mission to photograph some churches and crosses for my sister, who uses photos of crosses to focus her annual series of Lenten meditations on Facebook, which she calls "Journey to the Cross."

The Omena Historical Society is a non-profit organization located in Omena, Michigan, dedicated to preserving the history of the village and its surrounding areas. Harbor Antiques Last Wednesday we wandered around Elk Rapids for a bit. Along the way we had a chat with a lady who may well have been president of the local Chamber of Commerce; she <i>really</i> wanted us to try one of the local restaurants.
Inside Harrington's We’ve definitely seen the place busier. That turned out to be a recurring theme for the week.
