The Michigan Society of Registered Land Surveyors Foundation is a non-profit organization located in Lansing, Michigan. It was established in 1984 by the Michigan Society of Registered Land Surveyors (MSRLS) to support the education and advancement of the surveying profession in the state of Michigan. Dominic Bloomfield The second hour of Sunday's program was devoted to a showcase for students whose musical studies are supported, in part, by scholarships provided by the Southeast Michigan Bluegrass Music Association. Pam and Bill Warren Bill and Pam are the President and Treasurer of the Southeast Michigan Bluegrass Music Association. In this photo they're watching over the Association's musical instrument petting zoo in the basement of Woldumar's barn. The SMBMA sponsors scholarships for young folks to take lessons to play bluegrass instruments. The Moon Cabin This log cabin dates from the early 1860s. It housed the Moon family, and Lansing architect Darius Moon grew up in this home. The structures he built were, of course, <a href="https://discover.hubpages.com/education/The-Daring-Darius-Moon-mid-Michigans-Forgotten-Genius" rel="noreferrer nofollow">rather more fancy</a>. The cabin was north of where I worked when I moved to the Lansing area. Folks Arriving at Woldumar The Woldumar Nature Center's a wilderness park near Lansing, Michigan. Gladys Olds Anderson--do notice the Olds in the middle--donated part of her estate (named Woldumar; thus the center's name) to a conservation organization in the mid-1960s. There are a few buildings, including a barn that's been remodeled into an events center.
