LYNNFIELD HISTORICAL SOC

The Lynnfield Historical Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the historical heritage of Lynnfield, Massachusetts. Founded in 1976, the Society is composed of a volunteer Board of Directors and a small part-time staff.

The Society operates a museum in Lynnfield Town Hall, as well as a research library, which is open to the public. The museum features artifacts, photographs, and documents related to the history of Lynnfield and the surrounding area, from the pre-colonial period to the present day. The museum also offers educational programs for school groups and the general public.

The Society is also actively involved in the preservation of the town's historic sites and buildings. It assists in the restoration of Lynnfield's historic cemeteries and arranges for the preservation of artifacts and documents of historical importance. In addition, the Society sponsors lectures, workshops, and other educational events throughout the year.

The Lynnfield Historical Society is committed to preserving the rich history of Lynnfield for future generations and is always looking for new members and volunteers to join in its mission.
