USS SALEM

QUINCY, MA

The USS Salem is a historic naval vessel located in Quincy, Massachusetts. Commissioned in 1949, the Salem served as a flagship for the US Navy's Sixth Fleet and participated in numerous operations throughout her career. The Salem was decommissioned in 1959 and served as a training ship for naval reserves until 1991.

Today, the USS Salem is a floating museum and tourist attraction. Visitors can explore the ship's many decks and compartments, including the mess hall, sick bay, and weapons room. The ship's bridge has been restored to its original condition, complete with vintage instruments and communication equipment.
