The Chrisfield Heritage Foundation is a non-profit organization located in the small coastal town of Crisfield, Maryland. Its primary mission is to preserve, promote, and celebrate the rich cultural and historical heritage of the region. The foundation was established in 1998 by a group of local residents who recognized the need to preserve the town's unique heritage, which dates back to the 17th century.

The foundation operates several historic sites and museums, including the J. Millard Tawes Museum, which is dedicated to the life and legacy of former Maryland governor J. Millard Tawes, and the Ward Brothers Workshop, which showcases the work of two of Crisfield's most famous residents, master decoy carvers Lem and Steve Ward. The foundation also hosts a number of events and educational programs throughout the year, including the annual J. Millard Tawes Crab and Clam Bake, which attracts thousands of visitors from around the region.

In addition to its preservation and educational efforts, the Chrisfield Heritage Foundation is also committed to promoting economic growth and development in the region. The foundation works closely with local businesses and community leaders to create opportunities for tourism and economic development, while preserving the unique character and history of Crisfield and its surrounding areas.

Tangier Island Street Tangier Island is in the Chesapeake Bay. It is part of Virginia. The island was discovered by John Smith in 1608. It was settled in the 1770's. At one time, there were 1500 residents on the island. Today, there are about 400. Because of sea level rise, approximately 67% of the island has disappeared since 1850. Its expected that within 50 years, the island will be gone. On October 1, 2021, Judy and I took a ferry from Onancock, VA, to the island. The main street on the island. Most people get around on the island in golf carts.
