The Bremen Town House Association Inc. is a non-profit organization located in Bremen, Maine. The Association was founded in 1895 to manage the Town House and help promote the welfare of the town of Bremen. The Town House is a general-purpose community building that houses the Bremen Town Hall as well as a number of other community organizations. The Town House is also the site of regular town meetings and is a popular venue for social events, such as weddings and receptions.

The Bremen Town House Association Inc. is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of the Town House. They are also responsible for organizing and promoting activities to benefit the community. Holiday Glow This is sort of the opposite of the last photo being taken from the opposite shore of this pond. The large troll, Roskva, is visible between the lighted trees.

Botanical Garden Scene This photo was taken looking across a pond and a bridge that crosses it to the lights on the other side. On the left under the blue tree is a moose standing in the water.

Roskva Thomas Dambo, a Danish artist and recycle activist. He led a team of community and worldwide volunteers to help create our five trolls.
Roskva is the heaviest, hardest, and strongest of the trolls. Every day, Roskva climbs towards the sky, and every year she grows taller and wider. If a troll forgets something, they can always ask Roskva—she counts the seasons and remembers everything that happens around her.
Giant trolls were a rare subrace of trolls that resulted from the crossbreeding of trolls and hill giants.

Hummingbird This was taken last evening at the Coastal Maine Botanical Garden in Boothbay, Maine. It is their annual holiday Gardens Aglow extravaganza.

WW&F Ry Engine 9 This was taken after we returned from our tour. The engine had just taken on water and is now preparing to shuttle the train cars into their shed and then it will be shut down for the night inside the engine shed.

I tried to edit this in Lightroom and I am happy with the leaf colors. The foreground color is way to warm. Did you know you can do this edit of video in Lr? Lightroom (not classic) the cloud version has a much improved way to edit video compared to Lightroom Classic which I use. There are a number of instructional videos on editing in Lr Classic on line. WW&F Ry This recently re-established railway is now part of a museum that sponsors short excursions and other activities related to the railroad and is constantly being upgraded with the efforts of volunteers. The following is from the museum website.

The WW&amp;F Railway traces its roots to 1894 when the Wiscasset and Quebec Railroad constructed a two-foot “narrow” gauge railroad northward from the bustling wharves of Wiscasset. Far short of its international delusions of grandeur, the railway of “big dreams and little wheels” instead reached 50 miles into the heart of central Maine.

Reorganized as the Wiscasset, Waterville and Farmington, the Railway served Maine’s Sheepscot Valley faithfully for the next 40 years before closing during the Great Depression.

Brought back from extinction by a team of dedicated volunteers, today’s railway connects you with a Maine that has all but slipped away. Join us to experience authentic Maine. It is yours to discover and explore – we will take you there.

Engine Number Nine This past Saturday I spent about five hours or so riding this restored train. I like this photo because of the dark smoke and white steam as the engine is being readied to be coupled to the caboose, box car, and flat car that comprise the train. Also there is some nice fall color. The gentleman in the red and black shirt is installing what were once white flags one on either side of the engine. About 15 riders, mostly train buffs, were on this train. The building is the water tower used to fill the tanks of the locomotives.

The Wiscasset, Waterville and Farmington Railway is a 2 ft (610 mm) narrow gauge railway. The line was operated as a for-profit company from 1895 until 1933 between the Maine towns of Wiscasset, Albion, and Winslow, but was abandoned in 1936. Today, about three miles (4.8 km) of the track in the town of Alna has been rebuilt and is operated by the non-profit Wiscasset, Waterville and Farmington Railway Museum as a heritage railroad offering passenger excursion trains and hauling occasional cargo.
Engine 9 was built by the Portland Company in Portland Maine as works number 622 completed on May 2, 1891and is a 0-4-4T Forney locomotive now owned and operated by the Wiscasset Waterville, and Farmingtone Railway, Alna, Maine. It was abandoned in about 1936 and has since been restored and is operational. [Wikipedia]
