Christmas Tree Bonfire OOB On New Year's Eve, Old Orchard Beach, Maine invites people to take their Christmas tree to the beach where it will be cast into a bonfire. We did not take ours but did go to enjoy the festivities as seen here. OOB has a wonderful and long sand beach and has been a summer tourist destination for decades.
