Crack The crack you see here has been in our sidewalk since the day I moved here on May 4 2004. No fixes on this sidewalk. No earthquakes either. One just has to make sure to pick up their feet and pay attention. I know our HOA didn't. This sidewalk wasn't poured that way. And they want more dues. LOL!
Replacements These two are pretty good. Don't eat or need heat, shots, licenses, tags and don't use litter. Don't claw furniture. They don't play either. But they fill a void for now. The little calico came from a lady named Jane Boyle from Princeton Telecommunications in NJ and neither of us remembers where the orange ceramic tabby came from but he has piercing green eyes. Cat Toys The all loved this one as they could bat the ball around in a circle. The life of an indoor-only cat - they had fun.

Ocelot Remover Now we have the task to decide how to (or if) we will disperse decades worth of pet toys. The grieving process is a slow one. This little bank was cute. One of the cats (Raylan) had learned to tap the nickel placed on top, the little white cat could reach out to grab it which would then go into the bank. Carly just watched him do it.
Same Wonderful Golfer Different Shoes Adjusting to life without a pet. Some days it's easier and some days it's difficult. We have a slew of cat paraphernalia gathered up and it's a bit difficult to move past it. For now, a ceramic tabby is filling in.
High Five Update: The Animal Care Society said today (April 13) that Turtle (this kitten) has been adopted! Wishing you the best with your new family, Turtle!
How Much Is That Kitten In The Window This beautiful tuxedo cat was spotted yesterday in the window of the Animal Care Society. They do steal hearts! She is the mirror image of our (RIP) cat, Raylan - aka Ben, who was also adopted here.

Right Path While taking a small 2 mile hike around this lake yesterday, David and I encountered many wonderful, interesting people. On the top of this dam we had the privilege of meeting a gentleman who had traveled on the USS Ticonderoga to her final destination. He was originally from Jamaica and explained how he wound up joining the Navy at 14. We were honored to have met him. He had a great handshake!
