The Court Clerk's Office-County & Circuit, on East Court St. in Greensburg, KY, was built in 1818. [Note: the sign to the right of the door says 1804.] It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

It is Federal in style, and was built of dry stone construction, the best building method available during Kentucky's settlement period. The building served as the clerk's office until 1842. After 1877 it was the home of "Aunt Eunice", a former slave. The building was later bought and repaired by the City of Greensburg.

The Metcalfe County Historical Society, located in Edmonton, Kentucky, is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the history of Metcalfe County, Kentucky. Established in 1976, the Society was formed to collect and preserve artifacts and documents related to the county's history. The Society is housed in the Metcalfe County Courthouse, a two-story brick building constructed in 1891.

The Society's collection includes a vast array of photographs, newspapers, books, maps, diaries, and other documents related to the county's past. Additionally, the Society operates a museum with a variety of artifacts related to the area's history, including Civil War artifacts, Native American artifacts, agricultural equipment, and furniture.

The Metcalfe County Historical Society also offers educational programs to help preserve, promote, and celebrate the county's history. The Society hosts a variety of activities throughout the year, including lectures, presentations, and field trips. Additionally, the Society maintains a genealogy library, which is open to the public.

The Society is funded, in part, by membership dues, donations, and grants. The Society's members include individuals, families, and businesses from across Metcalfe County and beyond, who are committed to preserving the county's history.
