Ronald McDonald What's that, Ronald? Franchisees have not really been free to control their own product prices for years? Too much out of their control, you say.😉 Whew, this is a deep conversation to have over a parade. However, if what you say is true, that means franchisees aren't so much independent businesses anymore, which has potential policy implications.

And yes, I know a franchisee created you. Besides owning a McDonalds, he had a brilliant background in marketing and also operated an ad agency. He thought clowns, kids, and burgers go together. Those ad men! Through his media connections, the D.C. franchisee picked Bozo clown actor Willard Scott as the original Ronald McDonald. The great idea was later picked up by the franchising company for the whole chain. Do I have your story right? Can’t remember the brilliant franchisee’s name.

Replacements These two are pretty good. Don't eat or need heat, shots, licenses, tags and don't use litter. Don't claw furniture. They don't play either. But they fill a void for now.

The little calico came from a lady named Jane Boyle from Princeton Telecommunications in NJ and neither of us remembers where the orange ceramic tabby came from but he has piercing green eyes.

More Cat Stuff The purple cat was Raylan's. It purred - he liked that one. The little white seal was a gift from a park ranger, the teddy bear was a gift from a friend, one fridge magnet was my Mom's (Max), one was a gift from a friend (Coho) and the cat's pajamas were a gift from my deceased 2nd husband's sister. There are still more once we carefully clear all the nooks and crannies from both of our places.

Cat Toys The all loved this one as they could bat the ball around in a circle. The life of an indoor-only cat - they had fun.

Ocelot Remover Now we have the task to decide how to (or if) we will disperse decades worth of pet toys.

The grieving process is a slow one.

This little bank was cute. One of the cats (Raylan) had learned to tap the nickel placed on top, the little white cat could reach out to grab it which would then go into the bank. Carly just watched him do it.
