The Luray Historical Society is an organization dedicated to preserving the history of Luray, Kansas and the surrounding area. Founded in 1967, the Society has a long-standing commitment to preserving and displaying artifacts, documents, photographs and other materials that help to tell the story of Luray's past.

The Society is housed in the historic Luray School Building, which was built in 1905 and served as the primary school for the community until 1996. The building displays exhibits featuring Luray's history and provides educational programs for children and adults. The Society also offers a variety of special events throughout the year, including a weekend celebration of the town's founding and an annual potluck dinner.

The Society also runs a museum and research library, which includes photographs, documents, books, manuscripts and other artifacts related to Luray's past. The library also offers an extensive archive of oral histories and other records from the area. The Society also maintains an online presence and provides access to its materials through its website.
